Black and White Design

Students in the 5th grade have been reviewing some of the elements of art. They looked at all of the various qualities of line and how line is used in various works of art. In this project, fifth-graders were given a blank sheet of paper, various sized sharpies and free reign to create their own interesting line based black-and-white design. They studied concepts such as line in art, repetition, design, rhythm, composition and more!
