Collage Animals 

Students in the 1st grade read “The Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle. They saw a video of Eric Carle’s collage process when creating collage animals. They reviewed the concept of collage making. They learned that a collage is a work of art composed of various flat elements glued to a flat surface. Using cutting techniques & ripping techniques, students created their favorite animals through the art collage making.
