Students in the 2nd grade learned all about the Swiss artist Paul Klee & his life and abstract works. They viewed many of his famous artworks and learned that Klee was often inspired by child-like art. They learned that his family was very artistic! His father was a music teacher and his mother was an artist. In Klee’s lifetime, he created almost 9,000 paintings! Inspired by “Castle and Sun”, one of Klee’s famous paintings created out of different geometric shapes and various shades of color. They then created their own abstract cityscapes from their imagination!
