1st-grade artists have been learning about Georgia O’Keeffe, her famous artworks, and her message to other artists. Georgia saw the world in a different way as we all do. Students discussed the importance of an artist to express the way they see the world around them through art. Georgia was most famous for her paintings of enormous flowers, mountains, red hills, the pedernal, bones, deserts, and more. Inspired by her works of art, students stepped into Georgia’s shoes and created their own giant flowers! Click the link below to check out the photos!
